Wild By Design was born from a simple desire to create.

 

My name is Gedalia and thank you for your interest in Wild By Design. I created Wild By Design as an extension to my work over the last few years. I fell in love with live-edge wood while studying architecture at Tulane University. Live-edge wood is stunning; It's raw, unpredictable, and wild. The furniture it produces takes on these qualities. After years of wood working part time, relocating to Santa Barbara, and having a baby with my amazing partner and best friend, I continue working with live-edge wood to design bold solutions for everyday life.

​Wild By Design specializes in designing and building custom art and functional furniture for the home, office, or commercial space that will last for many generations.

Our furniture is handmade and completely one-of-a-kind. There are no molds and no mass production. We strive to minimize our footprint while creating elegant design solutions for any space. Wild by Design is well suited to bring style and quality craftsmanship to every piece we build, including tables, beds, desks, TV stands, built-ins, bars, and much more!

Wild By Design strives to support sustainable methods of creating art and furniture while caring for the world around us.
